I’m really starting to enjoy these busy weeks. Wednesday was particularly exciting. Not only did I start my new job at Bustle, but my former professor emailed me to say that our presentation on a digitized archive of information on the imagist poet H.D. was accepted into the H.D. and Feminist Poetics conference being held at Lehigh University in September. The History of White People: A Review
While I don’t entirely agree with Nell Irvin Painter’s decision to title her book as such, The History of White People is a fantastic look into the construction of race over time. It provides insight into the origins of the many racist myths that exist to this day, which Painter counters with subtle snark. Check out my review, then go and get yourself a copy.
